What's Your Horoscope?

Today, is one of those days.

Fooling around one morning with the brothers in
probably one of the best guesthouses in Seoul - Studio41 in Hongdae.
Where I look into the mirror and say, I've seen better days. Then again, we all have our moments.

Apparently, tummy is still slightly wonky. And I hadn't been particularly productive though it wasn't all that bad at work.

And I don't always read my horoscope but when I do, it's usually quite funny:

If you can't reach someone, keep trying different methods until you find one that works. Even indirect methods like Twitter or asking friends of friends can work out if direct means fail.

And true enough, there was this one person I had tried getting through to today without much success. But Twitter and friends of friends wouldn't have been the best option.

Made me laugh anyway!

The Color of The Sky Is Blue

Earlier in the day, my tummy was hurting. And now, my head is throbbing. Uncool.

Those aside, there were good moments today. Some. Good enough. =)

I cannot stop listening to Birdy's Wings. It's that good. Dia Frampton and Gabrielle Aplin too.

I miss my brothers. Rainbow please?

Of Small Dragon Pao's

Groupon Deal:
Signature 8-Flavour Xiao Long Bao at
 Paradise Dynasty, Paradigm Mall

A couple of us in the office bought this deal when we saw it and we finally went for it today. And it was yummmms!

My personal preference goes in this order (from most favourite to less fancied): Truffle (black), Cheese (yellow), Garlic (brown?), Original (white), Foie Gras (grey?), Ginseng (green), Crab Roe (orange).

The pink one, which is the Szechuan flavoured pao, was unfortunately my least favourite. Maybe it was the spice, or the pepper, I'm not very sure, but none of us liked it. Saying it was my least favourite isn't even correct. It actually hurt my tongue. -__-

But all in all, I'd give them 9 out of 10, since only one pao wasn't up to expectations. =) Too bad for you guys the deal is over.

We had Moo Cow for dessert too. And I had Uncle Bob chicken popcorn for lunch, with half a portion of Chili Pan Mee. The healthiest meal I had today would probably be cereal and milk for breakfast.

Then again, what is life if you can't enjoy yummy food? :D

What Is Your Deal?

The Other Side - Jason Derulo

I can't decide if the lyrics are kinky or if I'm misinterpreting or whatever not. But I've heard this on the radio many times and since it's not censored, it can't be that bad.

Body is aching. In the good kinda way. Due to my very feeble attempts to quit being sedentary.

Mommy bought me a new pair of shoes! Happy.

Considering how both my brothers have applied to study in the States and if someone were to come up to me to ask what was needed in the application or what needs to done, I wouldn't be able to answer, goes to show just how supportive a sister I've been. Complete fail. LOL

Maybe, just maybe, you're just as scared as I am. Who knows. Humans are a weird breed anyway.

I'm more a redhead now. And I sorta like it. A lot.

Yawn

Tired. Friends. Drinks. Sleep. Food. Rest. City. Work. People. You. Ideas. Progress. Productivity levels. Esteem. Acknowledgement. Attention. Manners. Patience. Haze. Sit ups. Chances. Water. Gloria Jeans. Incredibly silly conversations. Smiles. Slow inet connection. Networking. Forgiveness. Communication. Gifts. Understanding.

There you have it. My day.

Change

Circumstances change, people change, feelings change.

A tonne of other things changes too, but those were the only three I had written down in my travel notebook so I suppose those three things are most significant to me. Perhaps.

You know what helps best with constipation? Sit ups. It worked for me. But I shan't go into too much details because that might just gross you out.

It's been a great weekend, sans the new visitor in my room. -__-''

If I'm still counting on that jog tomorrow morning, I had better go to sleep now.

Here's to a fantastic week ahead! /cheers

What Do I Do With You?

Harbouring a massive B1A4 crush. Massive.

If.. - B1A4

Finally made a trip into the not-so-newly built Telawi Square today! Paid Number76 a visit and I'm glad I did, after all the rave about it online and offline. And my verdict is - I LIKE it there. Slightly on the expensive side, but it's a good thing I finally got to cash in on (probably) my last birthday present this year. Thank you awesome colleagues!

I also thoroughly enjoyed just sitting in a small quiet corner, drinking coffee and reading a good book. It's been so long since I last did that I forgot how good it feels.

Time for some detox tea though, I've been wrecking havoc with my dietary intake so much so I actually do feel unhealthy. Putting aside the weighing machine for a bit too. Just got to start eating more healthily before I go back to recording those numbers.

Wisdom for today: "There are two ways to be happy - Improve your reality, or lower your expectations." - Nineteen Minutes, Jodi Picoult

I hope Saturday has been good to you too!

流星雨

Meteor Rain - (the then) F4

This was random. Ivy and I heard an old song play on the radio in the car ride back home and we were discussing how it once was considered highly attractive for guys to have long hair like them boys in the music video.

NOW DON'T YOU SAY YOU DIDN'T THINK THEM ATTRACTIVE BECAUSE THAT'S A BLATANT LIE!

Or cute. Whichever. I was an avid fan I admit, watched the entire Liu Xing Hua Yuan drama series overnight and missed school the next day. I was living away from home then, so my parents never knew about it. But I guess they do now, hahaha, and so do you.

It's been years. I still think they look good though. I wonder what has happened to them.

What time does to people hey? Makes one ponder and wonder..

Comfort Food

Avocado salad from Marmalade.

Noms!

Looks like it's gonna be a pretty intense weekend. With work and play all juggled up. Exciting!

I wanna own a pair of pastel denims and a pair of floral jeans. But I doubt I'd look any good in them because I've been eating too much. And numbers don't lie. My weighing scale is not my friend. Should really get into some any form of workout routine.

Feel like coffee. Long day tomorrow.

Happy Friday everyone, have a great weekend too. Sending love to all.

The Best Red Velvet Cake Ever

If you wanna know where to get the best red velvet, ask me. I'll tell you. Because good things are meant to be shared.

Currently, it's not available at a shop or cafe but if you're keen to try, I have some at home which I don't mind letting you sample, provided you're a friend of course. If you're a random passerby, you can leave a comment and I promise you, I will let you know how to get some. And it's for a very reasonable price too.

=)

I definitely overate for dinner. Satay, lassi, roti canai, sweet apam and teh halia. All that was just for dinner. And I don't want to count calories because I'd be sad that I exceeded my daily intake. And I'm too lazy to move to burn off the excess. I hope I'd still be considered cute if I continue to put on more weight.

Neways. Some pictures...

The very awesome red velvet cake I mentioned.
Yup, it's one of my very belated birthday present but who's complaining. /love

And my Australia plushie family / collection.

It's 12 now, so Heng's 24 today (17th July). Happy birthday little brother!

The Bridge

I don't think I'll ever get down to uploading the photos from Seoul, Korea. Simply because we have too many different sources to sync because we only bothered to check if everyone / every camera was on the same time after day 4, and the bad news is, all were different. -__-

Heng was supposed to get down to sorting them photos, but I guess he's too busy. Ohwell.

Anyway. That aside. There's really not much though. It's just the usual - I'm tired. Need my personal space. Recharge. And I've been sneezing a lot since dinner. Either I caught a cold or someone's just missing me loads.

I secretly hope it's the latter. But only if it's the person whom I want to miss me who misses me. Otherwise, boo. Not so much. So picky right.

This is one of my favourites shots when I was in Seoul.

We were in the train on the way to the airport when I saw the bridge and thought it was really pretty. I took out my phone and took this. I think the original color of the bridge was red but because of the filter, the red is obviously no longer red. Still pretty though.

Mommy's a smartphone user too now though! So that's kinda cool. =)

Running Man Is Insanely Entertaining

Okay, so I'm a bit late to jump onto the RM bandwagon but it's so hilarious. Ever since I relocated my "work station" to the living room, I've been watching random snippets of the show and I cannot stop laughing.

DramaFever why you no allow the full Eng subbed episodes to show here?! =/

Evidently, all things Korean are appealing to me more so than ever.

Feel the need to stop being so sedentary but at the same time I can't think of anything else that I want to do, without having to: a) spend excessively / b) get stuck with a crowd / c) be forced to have conversations / d) all the above.

Doesn't leave much left to do hey?

Well, good thing there's YouTube and Dailymotion!

Makes My Heart Flutter

Echo - Every Single Day

Can't I have a puppy too??

Oh no wait. I already have a pet doggie. But can't I have one in the form of Lee Jeong Suk?

The cute. #koreanfever It's not over yet!

I Think

I am going crazy. The this-is-not-cool-someone-save-me-please kinda crazy. Sigh. And it's not bipolar. It's circumstantial.

Can't breath. Save me somebody. For real. I hope it's just cause I'm tired though I am doubting that's the reason.

Let's hope tomorrow things will be slightly different. Don't know how much longer can I put up with this before I go...

... boom!

Thursday, July 11

안녕

I am back from Korea. And, simply put. I love that country. For a lot of reasons - the food, the people, the cleanliness, the convenience, the culture, the hospitality, the weather, the sights, the safety.

Everything!

Daily selca's were a must too.

I want to go back! Some time..

I Hate To Admit It

BUT YOU DRIVE ME CRAZY! RAWR!

Setting Sail - Port Blue

Okay, let's see. At work, performance review was positive, and now everyone is on the same page, so that's one thing sorted. Lunch was yummies, dinner was rushed but it was good.

Happy blessed birthday Mike Wan. Happy being a year older wiser. =)

Hopes of sending my car for a wash was dashed because there were too many other customers. So it's a dirty fellow for the next couple of days!

Last bits of packing, sleep, and early morning flight tomorrow.

Don't miss me when I'm gone! Teehee..

Complicated Complications

Watching TV is such a luxury. I seemed to have forgotten how much I love watching tv.

Never Say Never - The Fray

I really like Abby's character from NCIS.

Alarm is set for 9pm. Let's see how much I can get done from now until then.

And I still have yet to figure out what I want in life.

Trilingual

Just like me! I speak English, Malay and Mandarin. And Canto. And I understand minimal Teochew and Hokkien. Okay, lets just say I'm multilingual, and brilliant. Hee.

Come Back To Me - Bii

I've heard this on the Chinese radio channel a couple of times. And the lyrics are in three different languages - Mandarin, Korean and English, though the English part pretty much has the singer repeat "Come back to me".

Soundhound couldn't identify the song, probably for the same reason. But awesome as I am, I managed to find it anyway.

I like the song, and the tune to it. And also the singer's voice. Maybe also partially because there's so many different parts to it. But from what I gather, asking someone to 'come back to me', that's pretty uncool. And well, useless.

Everytime I hear Lawson's Standing in the Dark, I get the same feeling. "She's dancing on the table, looking through the glass, she's someone else's angel", I instinctively think - serves you right lah.

But don't get me wrong. I love the song. I think it's catchy.

Wheeee, listening to Come Back To Me while planning the balance of the Korea trip, I'm suddenly more awake than I was 2 hours ago.

Happy days ahead, for both, you (and by that I meant, ALL of you) and I.

Who Is Gonna Save The World Tonight

Save The World - Swedish House Mafia

Why didn't I go for their concert lah. Why. Zzzz! And there this One too (pun intended). My new running jogging song.

I've been unnecessarily mean today. To even my friends. Haven't said the kindest of things and best yet, wasn't even intentional. Which means that I just said it, without any filtering. And that's bad.

Dear Lord, please teach me to control my tongue better and not say things that will cause hurt or harm onto others. Amen.

Still have a tonne to do. Maybe that's why I am slightly pissy. Brrrhh. And it could be that I'm just tired.

Latest grab-and-go breakfast recipe: pasar malam otak-otak x 3 + one scrambled egg + one Mission onion and chive wrap. Yums!

Okay, time to go rest a little, recharge!
